Running a hospitality venue often means juggling multiple systems across service, staffing, stock, and reporting. A new partnership between Square and Loaded is aiming to simplify that landscape with a more unified approach.
The integration combines Square’s point-of-sale (POS) and payments technology with Loaded’s back-office capabilities, including stock management, time and attendance, and reporting. The result is a more connected system designed to give operators greater visibility across their entire business.
For venue owners and managers, this could mean less reliance on spreadsheets and workarounds, and more time spent focusing on customers, teams, and profitability.
Loaded was developed by hospitality operators who experienced first-hand the challenges of running venues. Its platform brings together key operational functions—stock control, workforce management, and reporting—into a single system aimed at improving cost control and margins.
Poppy Gresson, Head of Partnerships at Loaded, says the integration reflects a shared philosophy between the two companies.
“Square has built one of the most elegant POS systems in the world,” said Gresson. “When you combine that with Loaded’s operational intelligence in the back office, hospitality businesses get something incredibly powerful. It creates a seamless flow of information from the front counter right through to the financial performance of the business, and even more importantly, gives operators the tools to manage their entire operation.”
The partnership also reflects a broader shift across the hospitality sector towards integrated technology platforms that reduce friction and improve efficiency.
Rather than stitching together multiple standalone tools, venues can increasingly adopt connected systems that manage everything from transactions and service through to back-end performance tracking.
As operators continue to navigate rising costs and tighter margins, solutions that provide clearer oversight and streamlined workflows are becoming a priority.
