Food & Hospitality Queensland returns with 10 dynamic features

Food & Hospitality Queensland 2025 returns on 12-13 October at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Food & Hospitality Queensland returns with 14 dynamic features.

Queensland’s hospitality scene will take centre stage next week (12-13 October) as Food & Hospitality Queensland returns for two days of culinary competition, industry innovation, and networking opportunities.

With 10 dynamic features packed into the event, organisers promise something for everyone across the food, drink and hospitality landscape.

Culinary competitions take centre stage

The show will host two major competitions, set to draw crowds and showcase the state’s culinary talent. The Queensland Chef of the Year represents the ultimate culinary showdown, where chefs will compete against the clock and each other in a test of creativity and technical knowledge.

Adding a sporting flavour to proceedings, the State of Origin Pizza Battle will pit New South Wales against Queensland’s top pizzaiolos in a head-to-head competition.

The competition also serves as a qualifying event for Australia’s Best Pizza Awards, welcoming chefs from restaurants, quick-service outlets, pubs, clubs and hotels.

Knowledge hubs and industry insights

Three dedicated stages will deliver content throughout both days. Chef’s Table promises a front-row seat to culinary innovation, featuring top chefs and producers showcasing the trends, techniques, and sustainable practices that are shaping Queensland’s foodservice landscape.

The Business Stage, presented by Restaurant Business, targets restaurant owners, operators and hospitality leaders. The program focuses on practical insights to drive growth, tackling the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the restaurant industry.

For café operators, the Café Success Stage features seminars and live demonstrations every hour, offering the latest trends and practical ideas to expand menus and boost profits.

Coffee takes the spotlight

Coffee enthusiasts will find plenty to explore in a dedicated 2,000-square-metre Café & Coffee Experience zone. This space is designed for those targeting cafés, coffee shops and retail convenience, showcasing the latest in coffee, beverages, quick eats, and grab-and-go options.

The Coffee Future Lab, presented by Coffee Commune, promises a bold exploration of what’s next for coffee culture. Sessions will examine cutting-edge automation, the booming flavoured coffee market, supply chain debates, and emerging brewing methods.

The program aims to provide café owners, roasters, and coffee enthusiasts with an unfiltered look at the trends reshaping the café world.

Networking opportunities

The Hospo Breakfast Club kicks off Monday from 7:30am-9am, providing industry professionals with the opportunity to connect, share ideas, and find inspiration over coffee and croissants.
