Australian food distributor secures national supply deal for 210 Coffee Club locations.

Metcash’s foodservice distribution arm, Superior Food Services, has landed a significant five-year national supply contract with The Coffee Club, Australia’s largest coffee franchise chain.

The deal will see Superior Food Services supply all 210 Coffee Club stores across Australia, with expected annual sales of approximately $55 million. The contract represents a major win for Metcash’s foodservice division as it continues to expand its presence in the franchise restaurant sector.

“We are excited to partner with Superior Food Services,” said Richard Hinson, CEO of The Coffee Club. “This alignment gives our franchise partners access to the best value products, while ensuring quality, consistency and reliability. It is a fantastic step forward in delivering on our mission and creating more opportunities for franchisee growth and success.”

The Coffee Club joins Superior Food Services’ growing roster of national restaurant clients, which includes the Australian Venue Company, Domino’s Pizza, Compass Group and Sodexo.

Craig Phillips, CEO of Metcash Foodservice & Convenience, highlighted the significance of the partnership: “Adding The Coffee Club to Superior’s loyal customer base is a great customer endorsement for the newly formed Metcash Foodservice and Convenience national distribution business. We look forward to a long term, and mutually beneficial, partnership.”

The contract comes as The Coffee Club continues its expansion across Australia, with the chain operating more than 400 locations globally. For Metcash, the deal represents continued growth in its foodservice division, which has been actively pursuing contracts with major franchise operations.
