Zeus Street Greek launches Nick Kyrgios collab as brand aims to triple its footprint

The tennis star’s Greek-Malaysian heritage inspired a new pita featuring sambal-tamarind aioli, paired with his Stryda Beer label.

Fast-casual Greek chain Zeus Street Greek is turning up the heat on its marketing efforts with a celebrity collaboration that launches just as the Australian Open season begins.

The Sydney-based brand has partnered with tennis star Nick Kyrgios to create the Pegasus Pita, a limited-edition menu item that blends the athlete’s Greek and Malaysian heritage into a flame-grilled chicken wrap featuring sambal-tamarind aioli. The item is available as part of a combo with Kyrgios’ own beer label, Stryda, for $27.40.

“Nick brings that same energy we live by at Zeus: confident, generous and completely himself,” said Costa Anastasiadis, co-founder and director of Zeus Street Greek. “This collab isn’t about hype; it’s about heart.”

Marketing push for fast-growing QSR brand

The partnership represents a significant marketing push for Zeus Street Greek, which has been one of Australia’s fastest-growing quick-service restaurant brands. The chain currently operates 43 locations nationwide and has set ambitious expansion targets, aiming to reach 137 stores by 2030. The brand has also extended into retail with a grocery range available at Woolworths.

For Zeus Street Greek, the collaboration goes beyond typical celebrity endorsements by tapping into Kyrgios’ cultural roots and personal brand. The tennis star, whose father is Greek and mother is Malaysian, helped develop the menu item’s flavour profile.

“Food’s always been a big part of my family,” Kyrgios said. “I wanted something that brings both worlds together. The sambal-tamarind aioli does that. It’s fiery, fresh, and a little unexpected.”

Timed for the tennis season

The Pegasus Pita ($16.50 standalone) features flame-grilled Greek chicken and salad wrapped in pita, served with Zeus’ signature Yia Yia’s chips. The combo pairs it with an ice-cold Stryda Lager, positioning the offer as an Australian summer meal timed to the tennis season.

Zeus Street Greek is also releasing a limited-edition merchandise collection featuring the Zeus, Nick Kyrgios, and Stryda brands, starting at $30.

The collaboration will run from 6 November to 28 February 2026, giving the brand a promotional hook throughout the summer season and major tennis events.

Since launching in Sydney in 2014, Zeus Street Greek has positioned itself as a modern take on Greek fast food, emphasising bold flavours and generous portions under the tagline ‘Made For Mortals’.
