Award-winning restaurateurs bring refined dining to Mooloolaba

Sunshine Coast welcomes a new destination restaurant as award-winning Bella Venezia duo launch Fish House Steak & Grill.

Fish House Steak & Grill is set to put Mooloolaba on the national dining map, courtesy of Kristine and Todd Young, the duo behind the multi-award-winning Bella Venezia Group.

The couple, celebrated for three consecutive Australian Good Food Guide Chef’s Hat Awards and Queensland’s Best Wine List, aim to bring a modern, sophisticated dining experience to the Sunshine Coast.

“We’re incredibly proud of everything Bella Venezia continues to represent, and excited to add a new venture to the family,” Kristine said. “We’re exploring a different expression of who we are with a totally fresh concept that matches the evolution of Mooloolaba, but still keeping it grounded in premium quality and service.”

“There’s a real buzz around Mooloolaba right now, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it. Mooloolaba is quickly becoming a must-visit for food lovers.”

Situated at Mooloolaba Spit, Fish House Steak & Grill features a refined menu highlighting local produce with a touch of Japanese fusion. Line-caught seafood, premium cuts, and a dry-aged beef display add theatre to the dining experience.

Executive Chef Ben Achurch, long-time Bella Venezia collaborator, leads the kitchen. “He brings not only technical excellence, but he also understands our standards, shares our passion, and brings true creativity to the menu,” Kristine said.

The 130-seat restaurant, including a private room for 14, offers a curated wine list, signature cocktails and all-day dining with indoor and stylish outdoor seating.
