Nando’s has opened a new restaurant in Indooroopilly, offering the first 100 students with a valid ID a free ¼ Flame-grilled PERi-PERi Chicken & Chips on Tuesday 26 August.

The initiative comes amid rising living costs, with the fast-food chain aiming to support local students while introducing its new space. “We know how tough it is for Queensland students right now, so on opening day, lunch is on us. Fiery times call for fired-up flavour, and Indooroopilly now has a space that’s as vibrant and warm as the community it serves,” said Nathan Wyndham, Nando’s QLD Regional Manager.

The restaurant, located within Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, features external banquette seating, timber arches, statement furniture, and access to Nando’s full range of PERi-PERi sauces.

The opening creates 20 local jobs, with Nando’s planning five further restaurant openings across Australia before December 2025.
